Sr. Network Engineer w/ MS. Deg. in CS or CIS & 6 months of exp.
Configure switches/routers, rack and stacking hardware, set vlans, activate ports, run physical cables (copper), maintain interswitch links; Develop methods and tools to be used to test and implement new LAN WAN equipment; Utilize monitoring tools to analyze network traffic, maintain uptime, generate throughput reports, spot trends, and report any anomalies to the team; Install, Maintain, troubleshoot, and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment; Maintain Outflow and Inflow of Inventory/Devices; Train new hired/junior Engineers; Collaborate with carriers to run circuit delivery, problem solving and migration; Formulate strategies for network device deployment tasks such as capacity planning, routing/network traffic shaping policies, closed user group designs; Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams when assets are added or removed; Manual Installation and on-site inspection;
Skills: LAN, WAN, VLAN. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to work in unanticipated locations throughout the US.
